GRH announces new virtual care clinic - GRH ReadyCare

Grande Ronde Hospital (GRH) announces the launch of GRH ReadyCare, its new virtual clinic for 24/7 health care access. The new service went live January 12, 2017. Patients access the online clinic via their smartphone, tablet or a computer using a number of options for the visit including a simple phone call, Skype, FaceTime, or Video Chat. In addition, GRH has developed a free mobile app available at Google Play and the App Store.

GRH ReadyCare provides access to simple primary care from board-certified Physicians and Nurse Practitioners experienced in virtual care and specializing in delivering quality, patient-focused services. For a flat fee of $35, virtual care services are available any time of day or night; including diagnoses, prescriptions (non-narcotic), and the convenience to set follow-up appointments with GRH providers when appropriate.

GRH ReadyCare is an excellent alternative for simple, immediate care for common conditions like cold, influenza, stomach flu, pink eye, rashes, allergies, UTI, sinus infection and more. GRH ReadyCare is not intended to replace a relationship with a primary care provider.

"GRH ReadyCare is a natural progression for our efforts to serve the region with affordable, quality care. Now, we are able to offer care to basically anyone with access to the internet. Even for those patients who are not established with one of our clinics, GRHReadyCare provides an excellent opportunity for simple, immediate care when it's needed, wherever it';s needed," said Doug Romer, Executive Director of Patient Care Services.

Virtualists are one of the fastest growing career opportunities in medicine. Offering care through a virtual clinic is the obvious next step for GRH's industry leading and award winning Telehealth Services program, Romer said, adding, "We continuallystrive to provide the best care for our community, anticipate the future, and are proud to offer viable solutions to meet the region's healthcare needs."

Creating an appointment is a simple process and can be done through GRH ReadyCare's website (grhreadycare.grh.org), or by downloading the GRH ReadyCare app on your mobile device. You will be able to use a number of options for your visit including Skype, FaceTime, or Video Chat. GRH ReadyCare will be integrated with our existing operations, and we have built referral processes to direct new patients to Grande Ronde Hospital providers and facilities for care when virtual care isn't appropriate, when the patient needs follow up care or when the patient is looking for a new provider relationship.

Visit readycare.grh.org to view bios and pictures of the providers, read the extensive list of treatable illnesses, and find information on everything from registering to how to make the $35 payment. For support during the check-in process, or at any time, please call 1-844-GRH-1243 and speak with a ReadyCare patient concierge.
