Brad Trisler, Board Chair

LA GRANDE Grande Ronde Hospital (GRH) is pleased to announce that Brad Trisler, La Grande, was confirmed as the new Chair for the GRH Board of Trustees in January 2017.

Mr. Trisler joined the Board in January 2010. He served as Vice-Chair for three years and as Secretary for two and a-half years before assuming the Chair position. During his tenure on the Board, he has also served on the following Hospital Board committees: the Contract and Compensation Committee, the Finance Committee, the Governance Committee, the Audit Committee, and the Strategic Planning Ad Hoc Committee; chairing both the Audit and Strategic Planning Ad Hoc committees.

Mr. Trisler is a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser and has successfully worked in that professional capacity throughout Northeast Oregon for the past 16 years. Prior to that, he was the sole proprietor, and later a partner, in a Portland-based small merchandising company with a regional presence of eight western states, including Alaska. In addition, he had eight prior years’ experience in business operations management for the Fred Meyer Corporation. Mr. Trisler brings expansive business acumen and a depth of business management expertise to the Board.

A graduate of Eastern Oregon University (EOU), in 1996 he and his wife of 36 years, also an EOU alum, moved back to La Grande. The couple likes to travel – especially if the trip includes a visit to one of their three children.

The Grande Ronde Hospital Board of Trustees is composed of 13 voting members, which includes 11 volunteer representatives from the community, the GRH Medical Staff President and the GRH President/CEO.

Trustees are nominated by the Board’s Nomination Committee according to Hospital policy and then elected by the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees meets monthly, with the exception of the months of July and August, and may meet at other times as needed.  It is the responsibility of the Board of Trustees to set policy and direction for the organization. Collectively, these representatives comprise the governing body of Grande Ronde Hospital, Inc. which includes 11 primary and specialty care clinics: the Cardiology Clinic, the Elgin Clinic, the Hematology & Oncology Clinic, the Neurology Clinic, the ReadyCare Clinic, the Regional Medical Clinic, the Sleep Clinic, the Specialty Clinic (General Surgery, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Otolaryngology (ENT), Urology, and Wound/Ostomy Care), the Walk-In Clinic, the Union Clinic, and the Women’s & Children’s Clinic (Gynecology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics).
