GRH Foundation hosts the Inaugural "Black and Pink" Fundraising Gala

The Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation is excited to announce our Inaugural Fundraising Gala, themed “Black and Pink”. The evening will feature a beautiful and delicious meal from renowned chef and restaurateur Merlyn Baker. Then prepare to be amazed and inspired by Guy Bavli, Master of the Mind! Guy is a mentalist/psychic entertainer that will change the way you think about illusions and the human mind!

All proceeds of the Black and Pink Gala will go towards the purchase of one of two new 3D Mammography machines for the Grande Ronde Hospital Radiology Department and Women’s Clinic. This new technology is vitally important for the early detection, treatment, and proper diagnosis of anomalies in the breast tissue. Using higher resolution digital imaging, as well as cross section evaluation, this technology allows for higher location accuracy, reduce return scans, and more accurate early diagnosis. The Black and Pink Gala will be held at the Eastern Oregon University Gilbert Center (former Ackerman gym) on March 18, 2017 at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $125 per person, which includes dinner and entertainment. People of all ages are welcome! Merlyn Baker has over forty years of professional chef experience, along with many of those years as Executive Chef at McCormick’s Fish House in Beaverton, Oregon, and later at Jake’s Famous Crawfish in Portland. From there, Merlyn opened his own restaurant in La Grande, Oregon, Foley Station, a three star “Northwest Best Places”. Other culinary endeavors include Cooking Classes, La Grande Capeau Blanc Gourmet Club dinner events, Oregon Bounty and Harvest Dinners, Brew Master's Dinners and Wine Makers’ Dinners.  He was also the chef of the Historical Titanic Dinner Event and Artifact Viewing in La Grande.
