LA GRANDE - Brett and Shanda Dunten, with their daughters Kaydin and Hadleigh, welcomed baby boy Layton John Dunten at 8:15 a.m. on January 2 at the Grande Ronde Hospital Family Birthing Center.  Layton was the first baby born in the Hospital, making him the 2018 New Year’s Baby. He weighed six (6) pounds three (3) ounces, and measured 19 ½ inches long.

To honor his special arrival, Layton was gifted a one-of-a kind white stocking handmade by the GRH Auxiliary Sewing Committee as well as a gift basket filled with diapers, handmade blankets, and other gifts. The Dunten family was presented with their gifts on the morning of January 4 by GRH Auxiliary President Kay Dick, who congratulated the family on behalf of the Auxiliary and Grande Ronde Hospital.

Congratulations to the Dunten family on Layton’s arrival!
