Course: Critical Care Updates
Please join us for a fun day of learning and networking at The La Grande Fire Department. Nicole Kupchik will be presenting topics around a case based scenario of a septic patient. Nicole is a dynamic, fun and engaging speaker from the Seattle area who will take us from the pre-hospital assessment and treatment of this patient through the ED, admission, and transfer of this critically ill patient. Topics will cover new treatment strategies for sepsis and modalities for recognizing and intervening early. Tips and tricks for formulating management and assessing interventions. Mechanical ventilation basics will be covered in the afternoon session and build on ABG interpretation and how to apply that information to the management of various respiratory pathologies. This course is intended for paramedics, nurses, respiratory therapists and transport personnel.

This course will be offered eight hours from 08:00-16:30, repeated on day two.
